Grimm To End After Season 6

grimm“It’s the end of the road for Grimm. NBC has announced that the supernatural crime drama is getting the ax and that it would wrap after a shortened Season 6.

Despite airing on Fridays, Grimm defied the odds and became a hit during the 2011-2012 season. It was also the first series launched by the current NBC regime to actually stick around.

Fans became suspicious when the series received a 13-episode order for Season 6, while the previous five seasons consisted of 22 episodes each. Grimm usually debuted right before Halloween, but the premiere date for the sixth season has been pushed back to Jan. 6. The final season will also debut in its new timeslot of 8 p.m. instead of 9 p.m., so mark your calendars, set up your Google alerts, etc. etc. etc., accordingly.

Season 6 will feature what fans have been waiting for: a final showdown between Nick and Capt. Renard.”

SpaceX To Use Recycled Rocket For Satellite Launch

spacexSpaceX continues to make major inroads in rocket science. It is hoped that this will lead to much cheaper ways to get man into space.

“SpaceX announced today that it will be making its first commercial Falcon 9 launch with a recycled first stage booster in the fourth quarter of 2016. Satellite company SES will be the first customer to launch using a recycled rocket, which will place its SES-10 satellite into orbit.

The Falcon 9 that will launch the SES-10 will use the same first-stage booster that SpaceX used to launch the CRS-8 mission for NASA in April. That booster was the second SpaceX booster to successfully land on a droneship in the ocean.

Typically, a Falcon 9 satellite launch costs SpaceX’s customers $62 million. Neither SES nor SpaceX would disclose what the pricing would be for this launch. However, in March of this year, SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell said that reusable boosters could bring the price of a Falcon 9 launch down about 30%. Which means that future Falcon 9 launches equipped with reusable stages could be priced around $43 million – substantially lower than most launch providers.”

Town Reporting Kreepy Klown Sightings

kavitytheclownStraight outta horrorville! What is the real story behind these reports? One thing is for sure – anytime it involves Klowns, especially Kreepy ones at night in the woods, it Kan’t be good!

“At the edge of dark, dark woods in South Carolina, children have been telling adults that a group of clowns have been trying to lure them into the cluster of trees. They say the clowns live deep in the woods, near a house by a pond.

This tale sounds like a mishmash of newspaper clippings and pages ripped from Stephen King novels, but these are actually details taken from a report filed by the sheriff’s office in Greenville County, S.C., last week, after several residents at an apartment complex there said that people in clown makeup had been terrorizing both children and adults.

Several children said that clowns were offering them money to follow them into the woods, close to the house by the pond. (The police say they have found no evidence of clown paraphernalia at the house.)

A woman walking home late one night said she had seen a “large-figured” clown waving at her from under a streetlight, the police said. (She waved back.) And another woman said her son had heard clanging chains and a banging noise at his front door. In these cases, people who reported clown sightings refused to give their names to the police.”

Mark Hamill May Have Confirmed Luke In Episode IX

starwarsbig“After his silent, single scene appearance in last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) is set to have a far more substantial role in Rian Johnson’s currently untitled Star Wars: Episode VIIIThe next chapter of the Skywalker family saga willpick up just moments from where Episode VII left off, as Luke assumes the part of mentor to scavenger-turned-Jedi Rey (Daisy Ridley). In the early days of Star Wars 8 speculation, it was rumored that the elder Skywalker would be involved in an action sequence involving the Knights of Ren.

Lucasfilm has done an admirable job maintaining secrecy regarding their projects, which has become a challenging task in the 21st century. No matter how hard the studio tries to keep everything under lock and key, slip ups do happen. For instance, Mads Mikkelsen revealed that his Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character Galen Erso is the father of protagonist Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) before Disney wanted that information to go public. Now, Hamill, the master secret keeper, might have dropped a spoiler for Star Wars: Episode IX on social media.”

Head on over to ScreenRant to learn more about this… obvious… news. (Of COURSE he’s going to appear! You can’t kill off too many original characters.)

Anyhoo, this is great news if it’s true no matter how you slice it.
