The Insane History Of Doctor Strange

Side Show Toys

Dr. Stephen Strange made his first appearance in 1963, inspired by the pulpy supernatural mysteries of The Shadow and the popular radio program Chandu the Magician. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Dr. Strange was initially intended only as filler for the popular anthology series Strange Tales. His first story was only eight pages long, so clearly, Marvel had no idea the character would go on to become one of their signature heroes. Here’s just a taste of the insane history of Doctor Strange… More at the link below!

Christmas Horror Deliciously Jumps The Shark With Short Horror Film ‘Treevenge’

Horror Geek Life

H/T to Horror Geek Life who do a fantastic job reviewing this gem! be sure to click the link to their site and have a look around – they do a fine job!

“Directed by Jason Eisener, who is best known for Hobo with a Shotgun, the high-concept horror short depicts Christmas from the perspective of trees that were chopped down and shipped to the various homes of those celebrating the holiday. Little do the humans know that the trees take offense to the humiliation of being forced into their living rooms and decorated to their liking. So much offense, in fact, that they massacre and kill an entire town.

From the moment that the Cannibal Holocaust theme starts playing during the opening title sequence, you know that you’re in for an absurd, bloody holiday treat. So, rather than testing luck with a real tree, stay home this holiday season and enjoy this cautionary tale from the comfort of your couch with a lovely, safe, non-living plastic tree in the corner of your living room.

Don’t say we didn’t warn you.”

Night of the Living Dead: Rebirth – Teaser

Horror Freak News

Remakes seem like they fail more often than not but this one looks like it could work. Bonus for the ‘old style’ film look of the trailer. Also, it looks like the remake will be faithful to the storyline. The zombies DO look pretty scary and you’d be bummed out if it were you facing down an increasing number of those things while barricaded in an old farmhouse. Even more bonus points for this being an exceptionally long ‘teaser’ video. Not getting a release date yet but will keep you all posted! Video at the link below.

Gang Beasts Official Gameplay Trailer

Steam

The “beef ’em up” game will arrive December 12 on PlayStation 4. Gang Beasts is a silly multiplayer party game with surly gelatinous characters, brutal mêlée fight sequences, and absurdly hazardous environments.

Watch in horror and amusement as gangs of gummy miscreants fight to grab, push, pull, and force their enemies from suspended window cleaning scaffolds, neglected funfair attractions, and commercial haulage trucks.

Gasp with shock and delight at the spectacle of farcically pugnacious thugs punching, kicking, and throwing their foes into unspecified hazardous machinery, flaming incinerator pits, and the path of moving trains. Video and more pics at the link below.
