‘Pacific Rim Uprising’ Intends To Launch An Expanded Cinematic Universe

The film is a 10-years-later sequel to Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 monsters vs. machines fight flick, but it’s hoping to do more than merely continue the story. It’s hoping to launch something much, much bigger.

DeKnight explained to Nerdist.

DeKnight also noted that more comic books are very likely.
