‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Will Kill Off Some Of Our Heroes

Deadline

More superheroes being killed off to make way for those deeper in the bench.

Via Heroic Hollywood: By the time Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters next summer, fans will need to prepare themselves when some of their favorite heroes meet their doom.

A common criticism for the MCU is that stakes are not always high. Given that the franchise has often had fake-out deaths, it’s easy to doubt whether or not these characters will end up returning later on in the film. It also doesn’t help that the upcoming slate of MCU entries is public knowledge so it is difficult to remain invested at points, knowing that the majority of our heroes will be returning – as the postscripts of many of the MCU films state.

But because Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of the entire MCU that began with Iron Man in 2008, character deaths are inevitable. Both the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy have experienced some life-threatening situations that took the lives of a few of their respective members. It is only a matter of time that more of them will not live for the next adventure.

Nebula Will Be In Avengers: Infinity War

Pinterest

Just a quick note with an Avengers update for you. “There are days where trying to remember which Marvel characters will actually play a role in Avengers: Infinity War is like herding cats: an impossible, useless task that will only give you a headache after awhile. Perhaps the best course of action is to simply default to “Every single Marvel Cinematic Universe Character is going to pop up in the movie in some capacity” and leave it at that. Let’s stick with that second one for now, especially since Karen Gillan has officially said, out loud, in front a reporter, that Nebula will play a role in the upcoming galaxy-wide crossover movie.” H/T to SlashFilm for this hysterical – and dead on article!

Thanos To Get Lots More Screentime In Avengers: Infinity War

avengers…”screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have told The Huffington Post that giving Thanos (Josh Brolin) his time to shine is paramount.

You know, he’s never been the villain in any of the movies. He’s never been the main character in that way, so giving lots of good screen time to Thanos is paramount and pretty fun.”
