Friday The 13th Pulled From Paramount’s October Schedule

Indiewire

“In a move that breaks the hearts of horror fans everywhere, Paramount has just pulled the much-anticipated reboot of Friday the 13th off the release schedule. With the film set to begin production in mid-March, everything seemed poised to work out in favor of the reboot: casting calls were sent out for a young Jason Voorhees and his father, and an effects team had been assembled to create the mask and props – yet here we are again.” Read more on this story at Horror Geek Life. We’re bummed but not too concerned since this is, after all, Friday the 13th. Someone will put this back on the menu soon!

Happy Friday The 13th!

Watch For A Nastier Jason In The Next Friday The 13th

jasonStill a year away but already highly anticipated. No surprise, though. Just looking over the social media feeds shows Jason to be a huge draw still. With the Halloween season full on, he’s bigger than ever. “Variety talked with both Fuller and Platinum Dunes producer Andrew Form, which quite a bit of information was revealed to the website. And yes, there will definitely be another Friday the 13th film.

Fuller had this to say:

“This is the 13th “Friday the 13th” and on some level that’s kind of magical that we are lucky enough to make the 13th “Friday the 13th” movie. The challenges are you don’t want to alienate the people that come to see the first 12 but at the same time you don’t want your audience who haven’t seen the first 12 to feel like I’ve missed out on all of this and I’m not coming to see the 13th film.””
