Deadpool 2: Ryan Reynolds Poses In Front Of The X-Mansion On Set

Marvel Comics

Well this is certainly going to turn some nerds’ heads!

Via EW:

Marvel’s favorite merc is making a return trip to Professor Xavier’s mansion. Ryan Reynolds posted a photo from the set of Deadpool 2, featuring himself in character as Wade Wilson in front of the institute on social media.

“Dropped by X-Mansion. Looked closely for Beast’s lawn bombs before taking well deserved nap,” Reynolds wrote on Instagram. On Facebook, he captioned the same photo, “Now filming Deadpool 2: Xavier’s Lust.” On Twitter, he poked fun at the big reveal: “Big f—ing surprise. No one’s home.”

The photo confirms a report published earlier Saturday morning from Comic Book Resources. The mansion played a small part in the first Deadpool as the home of Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, leading to the joke, “It’s a big house. It’s funny that I only ever see two of you. It’s almost like the studio couldn’t afford another X-Man.”

Ryan Reynolds just went to Twitter to make the case that Deadpool should receive some very prestigious film awards. What do you think? Have a look at the tweet below before you make your decision.

Ryan Reynolds Has Nice Things To Say About Tim Miller

Nice to see Reynolds taking the high road on this creative separation. “In an interview with GQ, the 2016 Man of the Year addressed how he feels about Miller’s departure. Reynolds considers himself closer to the project than anyone after spending more than a decade trying and failing and ultimately succeeding in getting his vision of the merc with a mouth onscreen, so he wasn’t about to let anyone else step on his vision.

“All I can really add is that I’m sad to see him off the film,” Reynolds said at the end of the interview. “Tim’s brilliant and nobody worked harder on Deadpool than he did.””
